Mr. Thornton is a seasoned professional with broad experience in several sectors in the US, Europe and Latin America, including TMT, Autos and Auto Suppliers, FIGs, Distribution, Energy and other Basic Industries, Food and Food Services, Training and Education, Airlines & Travel, and Healthcare.  Mr. Thornton began his career as a lawyer at Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance), before moving into investment management as a partner in the Alternative Funds group at WR Huff Asset Management and later co-founding Pardus Capital Management. He currently serves as an independent director on the board of directors of DBI Services, and previously served on the boards of directors of several public and private companies, including Midwest Wholesale Hardware, Suncom Wireless, ICG Communications and Impsat Fiber Networks, among others. Mr. Thornton also has represented investors on various creditor and equity committees, including Delphi Automotive, Adelphi Communications, Globopar, NTL and Telewest (now Virgin Communications) Multicanal, Cablevision (Argentina), Telecom Argentina, Mastellone Hermanos, Movicom (Argentina), Alestra (Mexico), and Mid-American Waste.
